The calculators run entirely in your browser
Every tool on BaleMath is a static page with a small JavaScript file. The numbers you enter — animals, weights, winter length, hay prices — are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We have no accounts, no logins, and no databases. Nothing you type is stored on a server, and the calculators keep nothing in your browser between visits: close the tab and your inputs are gone.
Data we process ourselves
Server logs. The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare processes limited request and security data such as your IP address, the URL requested, browser or device information, traffic-routing data, and timestamps. This happens for site delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site online and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). BaleMath does not use this data to identify visitors and does not export or keep its own visitor-log dataset. Cloudflare applies retention according to its service configuration and policies. BaleMath is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, so this provider-side delivery and security logging is handled by Cloudflare under its own documentation and policies.
Fonts and styles are served from our own domain. Apart from the processing Cloudflare needs to deliver and secure the site, reading BaleMath does not send data to analytics, advertising, email, or other third-party services.
No advertising or analytics at launch
BaleMath does not currently load Google AdSense, Google Analytics, or any other advertising or analytics service. No advertising or analytics script receives information about your visit, and the calculators do not depend on any such service.
No email collection at launch
BaleMath does not currently provide an email signup or submission form, so it does not collect or store email addresses through the site.
Cookies
BaleMath does not set non-essential cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when required to protect or deliver the site; it is not used by BaleMath for analytics or advertising. No consent banner is currently shown because there are no optional cookies to choose from. The full details are in our cookie policy.
International transfers
Cloudflare, Inc. is a U.S.-based global company and may process or transfer the limited delivery and security data described above outside the EEA. Cloudflare states that it uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How long data is kept
BaleMath keeps no calculator inputs, email signup records, analytics records, or visitor-log dataset. Cloudflare controls retention of the limited provider-side delivery and security data as described above.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what happened before. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we hold essentially no data about you, most requests will end with us pointing you to the processor that actually holds it — but write to [email protected] and we will help you get there.
Children
BaleMath is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we add a tool or a service that changes how data is handled, we will update this page before it ships and change the date below.
